Novitiate and College of Humanities of the Legionaries of Christ : ウィキペディア英語版 | Novitiate and College of Humanities of the Legionaries of Christ
The Novitiate and College of Humanities of the Legionaries of Christ is a formation center dedicated to forming Priests for the Congregation. Members of the Legion of Christ spend their first 3 to 4 years after joining (or after high school if they entered a minor seminary) training for priestly ministry. It is divided into a 2-year Novitiate and 1 to 2 years of Classical Humanities. After the first year of classical humanities, an Associate of Arts Degree is offered in religious studies and classical humanities. ==History== The building was built in 1961 by the Missionaries of La Salette as a minor seminary. The Legion acquired the property in 1982 and moved the novitiate from a much smaller house in Orange, Connecticut. In 1991, the program of classical humanities was begun and a new wing was added to house those seminarians.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.mylegionaries.org/articulo.phtml?se=377&ca=756&te=475&id=29840 )〕 The novititate began in the USA in a home in Woodmont, Connecticut in 1965, in 1971 it was moved to Orange before receiving its current home in Cheshire.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.legionariesofchrist.org/eng/articulos/categoria.phtml?lc=se-355_ca-936_ci-918 )〕
